The programmes at the department are organised under nine study boards that administer one or more programmes. The study boards are composed of members of the teaching staff and students. A student serves as deputy chair on the study boards.

The study board approves the programme syllabi and prepares proposals for the curriculum and regulations. In addition, the study board issues comments on proposals for ministerial orders on degree programmes and general rules for exams, grading and teaching. In addition, the study board also handles cases concerning credit transfer and exemptions from the ministerial orders on degree programmes and the curriculum and regulations.
